1 <br /> Consultant will prepare a matrix spreadsheet summarizing utility conflict locations and actions for <br /> each conflict location.This document will be updated whenever new information becomes available <br /> to track utility coordination activities. Consultant will submit 60%design drawings to utility agencies <br /> and coordinate with each regarding review and comment. Consultant will respond to agency <br /> questions and comments and keep the City aware of progress and review coordination with utility <br /> agencies. Consultant will identify and recommend locations for potholing existing utility determined <br /> to be critical for design. <br /> 1.6 Perform Street Condition Evaluation <br /> Consultant will perform a visual field evaluation of the existing streets,alleys,sidewalks,and <br /> intersections to assist in determining of location of proposed utility and extent of necessary <br /> restoration. The evaluation will focus on assessing the type and condition of pavement distress and <br /> adequacy of sidewalks/ramps for compliance with current ADA standards. <br /> Consultant will coordinate with the City to obtain/review available pavement condition rating <br /> surveys.Consultant will conduct a field assessment for the purposes of documenting conditions and <br /> developing recommendation relative to street/sidewalk restoration of the East Grand area,defined <br /> for the purposes of the street evaluation as containing 62 blocks (approximately 4 miles) of <br /> streets/alleys. <br /> Consultant will take photographs and document the extent of pavement distress (cracks and/or <br /> deformation).The general extent of pavement distress will be documented and assessed based on <br /> street segments (block by block) and specific distressed areas will not be measured or located. <br /> Consultant will develop recommendations for the extent of street and sidewalk restoration and <br /> estimate develop preliminary construction cost estimate associated with each street/alley segment. <br /> Consultant will prepare a technical report summarizing findings,recommendations,and estimated <br /> construction costs and submit to the City for review/comment. Consultant will prepare a final <br /> report,incorporating the City's comments and final determination,which will serve as a basis for <br /> proposed street/sidewalk restoration. <br /> 1.7 Perform Supplemental Geotechnical Investigation (By Subconsultant) <br /> Consultant will conduct geotechnical investigation for additional project areas for identifying soil <br /> and groundwater conditions of proposed pipe locations.Investigation will consist of conducting a <br /> maximum of five(5) soil borings and laboratory soils testing for the project locations.The • <br /> investigation and analysis will characterize soil conditions and identify groundwater depths for the <br /> • purpose of planning utility trenching,backfill,and pipe loading.The results of the investigation and <br /> analysis will be summarized in a report.A subconsultant will provide the geotechnical services.Refer <br /> to attached Scope of Services—GeoEngineers,for a detailed description of specific services <br /> provided <br /> Sewer System Replacement and Capacity Improvements Project 9 <br /> otak <br /> K\project\31500\31520\Contract\Amend4\AmendFoui\AmendmentFout021413.doce <br /> 10 <br />
