TASK 10: STRUCTURAL DESIGN <br /> TranTech will perform structural analysis and design to replace the existing Broadway <br /> Overcrossing. The work includes demolition of the existing structure and replacing it with a <br /> bridge structure that has the same footprint and alignment. The new structure shall satisfy BNSF <br /> guidelines. Some of the clearance guidelines may subject to future negotiations with BNSF. The <br /> bridge design will follow the most current WSDOT,AASHTO, and City requirements. <br /> Throughout the structural design activities, special care will be given toward low impact design <br /> approach for many reasons including noise reduction and protection of the adjacent businesses <br /> and buildings. <br /> The design parameters involved for the superstructure and substructure design of this bridge <br /> replacement project are: <br /> a. Railroad crossing requirements and approvals <br /> b. Retaining wall requirements <br /> c. Bridge Deck Drainage <br /> d. Construction clearances <br /> e. Inspection and Maintenance requirements <br /> f. Aesthetic considerations and special structures <br /> g. Full-closure construction plan <br /> h. Geotechnical requirements <br /> i. Electrical Design of throw fence lighting <br /> The activities in this task include the following subtasks: <br /> 1. 100% PS&E—Bid Ready <br /> The activities associated with the preparation of 100%PS&E documents are listed in the <br /> following: <br /> a. 100%PS&E Plans <br /> b. 100%PS&E Engineer's Estimate Preparation <br /> c. 100%PS&E Special Provisions Preparation <br /> d. 100%PS&E QA/QC <br /> 2. Bidding Phase Services <br /> This work under this subtask will include providing engineering support services to the <br /> City during the bidding phase period of the Project. <br /> Deliverables: <br /> 1. One full sized original signed plan set at Final <br /> 2. Special Provisions at 100%level supporting the new bridge civil <br /> infrastructure. <br /> 3. One copy of the quantity estimate and opinion of cost. <br /> 4. All relevant calculations <br /> 5. AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D complete electronic drawing files <br /> 10 <br />
