They are: <br /> • Adding possession of stolen property to the definition of chronic nuisance activity; <br /> • Defining chronic nuisance properties to include properties that have 7 or more instances of chronic <br /> nuisance activity within a 365 day period in addition to properties that have 3 or more instances of <br /> chronic nuisance activity within a 60 day period; and <br /> • To provide better due process by defining a specific time frame within which to issue a notice and <br /> demand letter(notice to the person(s)in charge of the property to cease the chronic nuisance activity). <br /> The proposed time frame to issue the notice and demand letter is 30 days following the last chronic <br /> nuisance activity that qualified the Property as a Chronic Nuisance Property. <br /> Other housekeeping revisions are included in this proposed ordinance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt an Ordinance relating to Chronic Nuisance Properties, amending Ordinance No. 3091-08. <br /> 5 <br />
