CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> Measurement for Foundation Material, Class A or B shall be by the ton, recorded on certified <br /> weight tickets in accordance with 1-09.2 WEIGHING EQUIPMENT, and placed within the <br /> limits of dimensions defined in the Work, descriptions for other bid items, shown on the Plans, <br /> or COE Standard Drawings, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. <br /> The unit price bid per ton shall constitute full compensation for all labor, tools, materials and <br /> equipment required to furnish, place, and compact foundation material as specified in the <br /> Standard Specifications, these Special Provisions and as shown on COE Standard Drawing <br /> No. 614. <br /> The unit price for this bid item includes all costs for dewatering and over-excavation, removal, <br /> haul, and disposal of unsuitable subgrade material below the pipe zone or roadway subgrade. <br /> Bid Item 11 - Gravel Borrow <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Ton (TON) I <br /> Measurement for Gravel Borrow shall be by the ton, recorded on certified weight tickets in <br /> accordance with 1-09.2 WEIGHING EQUIPMENT, and placed within the limits of dimensions <br /> defined in the Work, descriptions for other bid items, shown on the Plans, or COE Standard <br /> Drawings, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. <br /> Measurement for gravel borrow shall be limited to maximum trench widths defined in the work <br /> descriptions for other bid items. <br /> The unit price per ton, based on certified weight tickets, for gravel borrow shall be full <br /> compensation for all labor, material, tools and equipment necessary to furnish imported <br /> gravel borrow for trench backfill where Engineer has determined native soils are not suitable <br /> for backfill, and other Work as required, from a Contractor-supplied source in accordance <br /> with 2-03.3(14)J of the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions. <br /> The unit price for gravel borrow shall include all costs of furnishing, hauling, stockpiling, <br /> placing, grading and compacting the material in place. <br /> The unit price for this bid item includes all costs for removing, loading and disposing of <br /> displaced unsuitable material, including haul. <br /> Bid Item 12 - Ductile Iron Pipe for Watermain, 4-Inch Diam. <br /> Bid Item 13 - Ductile Iron Pipe for Watermain, 6-Inch Diam. 1 <br /> Bid Item 14 - Ductile Iron Pipe for Hydrant Lead, 6-Inch Diam. <br /> Bid Item 15 - Ductile Iron Pipe for Watermain, 8-Inch Diam. I <br /> Bid Item 16 - Ductile Iron Pipe for Watermain, 12-Inch Diam. <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Linear Foot (LF) <br /> Per linear foot pipe measurement shall be based on the slope distance from point to point of <br /> watermain Contractor installs to within six to eight feet of the tie-in to existing main point. The <br /> point of beginning or ending of measurement in any particular run of pipe shall be the vertical <br /> intersection of the centerline of the pipe measured with the centerline of the intersection pipe, <br /> or with the beginning or ending of any new linear length of valves or couplings contained <br /> within the measured length. At changes in pipe size connected by a reducer, the point of <br /> measurement shall be taken as the midpoint of the reducer. The linear footage of watermain <br /> pipe from the center of existing main to end of main Contractor installed and tested to is <br /> included with "Bid Item 26 -Assist COE in Connecting to Existing Watermain Connection to <br /> Existing Mains" pay item. <br /> The unit contract price for Ductile Iron Pipe for Watermain, =Inch Diam. or For Hydrant <br /> Lead as the case may be, shall constitute full compensation for all labor, materials, tools and <br /> equipment necessary to furnish and install the pipe, restrained joints (where shown on the <br /> Watermain Replacement"U" Division B—BID DESCRIPTIONS October 1, 2019 <br /> WO No.—UP3698 SP-6 <br />
