9 r�\ <br /> GC/CM Contract <br /> �t s <br /> / ...*%/%l411311: <br /> General Contractor/Construction Manager Services for <br /> ''� EV��� Water Pollution Control Facility Expansion <br /> Phase Cl (Liquid Stream) <br /> preconstruction activities as part of the separately executed <br /> Preconstruction Services Contract between the Owner and GC/CM. <br /> The Owner, Engineer, GC/CM, and principal Subcontractors when <br /> known, shall participate in a second partnering session. Principal <br /> Subcontractors should include: electrical and mechanical, and others <br /> as the GC/CM and Owner jointly agree are appropriate. The purpose <br /> of the partnering workshop shall be: <br /> 4.2.2.1 To establish mutual understanding of partnering concepts; <br /> 4.2.2.2 To develop the mission statement and goals for the Project <br /> for all parties; <br /> 4.2.2.3 To develop a process so that critical issues can be quickly <br /> resolved. <br /> 4.2.3. The Owner shall be responsible for arranging for and providing the <br /> facilities, facilitator, and any materials for the workshop. The GC/CM <br /> shall pay one-third (%) of the costs for the facilitator and facilities not- <br /> to-exceed Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00), as a Specified General <br /> Conditions cost. The GC/CM shall ensure that key Projectpersonnel <br /> attend and participate in the workshop. The cost of attendance at the <br /> workshop by the GC/CM's key personnel shall be a Specified General <br /> Conditions cost. <br /> ARTICLE 5 - DATE OF COMMENCEMENT, TIME OF COMPLETION, LIQUIDATED <br /> DAMAGES <br /> 5.1. Time is of the Essence: It is understood that time is of the essence in <br /> performing the Work, and the GC/CM shall provide the necessary equipment, <br /> personnel and services to commence on the date this Contract is executed <br /> and achieve all progress and completion milestones within the time periods <br /> set forth herein. <br /> 5.2. Date of Commencement: The date of commencement for the Work included <br /> herein shall be by a Notice to Proceed to the GC/CM. Any Work performed <br /> prior to issuance of the Notice to Proceed shall be at the GC/CM's sole risk <br /> and expense.
