2 <br /> WHEREAS,THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL FINDS: <br /> 1. The purpose for the proposed text change and incorporation of the Mukilteo School District <br /> Capital Facilities Plan into the Everett Comprehensive Plan by reference is to facilitate the <br /> School District's authority to seek mitigation of new facility construction costs that can be <br /> linked to new residential construction in the Everett portion of the school district; and <br /> 2. Everett wishes to work with purveyors of public services such as Mukilteo School District,to <br /> enable them to meet the requirements of the Growth Management Act,to include their <br /> seeking mitigation of facilities costs created by new construction and resulting population <br /> growth; and, <br /> 3. Changes that are needed to tables of the Comprehensive Plan Capital Facilities and Utilities <br /> Element as a result of the District's update to its Capital Facility Plan are as follows: <br /> A) That portion of Section 1 of Ordinance No.2021-94(GMA Comprehensive Plan <br /> adoption),as amended,related to Table 6: Existing(Fall 2003)School Facilities, <br /> Enrollment and Capacity,found on page 33 of the Capital Facilities and Utilities Element of <br /> the City of Everett Comprehensive Plan concerning the Mukilteo School District,which <br /> currently reads as follows: <br /> School District Elementary Middle Schools High Schools Total <br /> Schools and Other <br /> Facilities <br /> Mukilteo (2010) <br /> No. Schools 11 4 3 18 <br /> No. Students 5,682 3,398 4,046 13,126 <br /> Capacity 5,448 3,374 3,703 12,525 <br /> IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: <br /> School District Elementary Middle Schools High Schools Total <br /> Schools and Other <br /> Facilities <br /> Mukilteo(2012- <br /> 2017) <br /> No. Schools 11 4 3 18 <br /> No. Students 6,531 3,419 4,283 14,233 <br /> Capacity 5,400 3,369 3,756 12,525 <br /> With an update to the title of Table 6 that updates the noted year to 2012. <br /> 28 - 2 - <br />
