' i' A., <br /> { •'rr' ►(iSCn <br /> Everett Fire Department Strategic Plan—2013 <br /> 1 <br /> ' OFFICE OF THE MAYOR Ray Stephenson <br /> Mayor <br /> January,2014 <br /> ' City council and community members— <br /> On behalf of Chief Murray Gordon,I am pleased to present to you our strategic plan for the <br /> Everett Fire Department.This plan establishes the department's goals and strategies for the <br /> ' next 3-5 years,and will guide our future efforts as we continually strive to provide the best <br /> service possible to the city of Everett. <br /> We developed this plan In cooperation with our firefighters and the community they serve. <br /> Public safety has always been my top priority as Mayor,and I know that you share my <br /> commitment to providing exceptional fire and aid services to our citizens, <br /> ' Our firefighters take their responsibility to protect and serve our residents very seriously,and <br /> they are always mindful of the trust that has been placed in them.Our goal Is to be good <br /> stewards of that trust and of the resources that we've been given,and to continually seek to do <br /> our jobs as efficiently and effectively as we can. <br /> With that In mind,the fire department began the strategic planning process in 2013.This plan <br /> incorporates input from the community,including business owners,our neighbors and other <br /> city staff.
