city <br /> I a <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> AND <br /> CNJA ARCHITECTS <br /> The City and CNJA Architects agree to amend and modify their professional services agreement <br /> dated January 3, 2012 (the"Agreement")as follows: <br /> WHEREAS, CNJA Architects and the City of Everett entered into an agreement on January 3, <br /> 2012("Agreement")to provide Architectural and Engineering services for the Fire <br /> Administration Complex—Building Improvement Project; and <br /> WHEREAS,the parties amended the Agreement on April 2,2013 add to the scope of work and <br /> to increase the total compensation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the scope of work has been revised to change the use of the 2811 Fire <br /> Administration Building into a Fire Department Warehouse; and <br /> WHEREAS, work is not yet complete on the Fire Administration Complex—Building <br /> Improvement Project for which CNJA Architects provided Architectural and Engineering <br /> Services; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Agreement has expired prior to the completion of the project and the parties <br /> expect the work to be completed by March 31, 2015; and <br /> WHEREAS,the total amount of the compensation stated in the Agreement as amended is likely <br /> insufficient for the remainder of the project and an additional $5,904 of contract value is needed <br /> to complete the projects; <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett desires continued assistance from CNJA Architects for such <br /> services for the project; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the City of Everett and CNJA Architects agree to amend their Agreement <br /> to: (a) extend the time of completion from April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015 and (b) increase the <br /> maximum compensation by an additional $5,904 from the current contract level of$121,942 to <br /> $127,846; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the City and CNJA Architects agree to amend and modify the previously <br /> amended Agreement as follows: <br /> 1.
