Everett Police Department <br /> (10%//".""' .1-4 Code Enforcement Unit <br /> 9/17/2018 CE 18-0974 <br /> Barbara Ann Wilson Trust <br /> 2030 142nd Ave SE <br /> Snohomish, WA 98290 <br /> NOTICE TO COMPLY <br /> Violation Address: 1918 BAKER AVE, EVERETT, WA 98201-2500 <br /> Greetings, <br /> Our office has received a complaint alleging inoperable vehicles, furniture and garbage <br /> was present upon the property and that a new apartment has been created in the upper <br /> level of the eastern structure. An inspection of your premises/property located at 1918 <br /> BAKER AVE, was made on September 13, 2018. The inspection revealed at least one <br /> of the 6 vehicles on the property had expired vehicle license, rending it inoperable, and <br /> household furniture and wood was visible stored against the south side of the main <br /> residence. Additional discarded furniture was stored near the alley. A check of vehicle <br /> registration further indicates person living at the property list their apartments as <br /> Apartment A, B, or C. <br /> The presence of unlicensed and/or otherwise inoperable vehicles without approved <br /> covers is a violation of the following sections of the Everett Municipal Code (EMC) <br /> 8.22.030 which reads: <br /> EMC 8.22030 Abatement and removal of junk and inoperable motor vehicles <br /> from private property. <br /> A. All junk and inoperable vehicles placed or situated upon private property within <br /> the city limits shall constitute a criminal violation and shall be subject to the penalties <br /> as set forth in Section 8.22.100 of this chapter, and are also public nuisances to be <br /> abated as provided in this chapter;provided, however, that this chapter shall not <br /> apply to: <br /> 1. A vehicle or part thereof that is completely enclosed within a building in a lawful <br /> manner where it is not visible from the street or other public or private property; or <br /> 2. A vehicle or part thereof that is stored or parked in a lawful manner on private <br /> property in connection with the business of a licensed dismantler or licensed vehicle <br /> dealer and is fenced according to the provisions of RCW 46.80.130; or <br /> 3. A vehicle enclosed in an opaque auto cover specifically designed to completely <br /> shield the vehicle from view. The cover must be in good condition and must be <br /> replaced if it is torn, weather-beaten, or acquires any other defects.
