The Basement Floor Plan throughout the construction drawings indicates that the ramp does <br /> not include extensions of the northeast and southwest ramp handrail. Note that the <br /> handrails included the required extensions under the previous permit B1601-014. The <br /> railing shall be shown if existing or added. The construction, whether new or existing, shall <br /> extend horizontally over the top and bottom landings for a minimum of 12 inches. See IBC <br /> Section 1014.6. <br /> 9. Elevation 2A-1.1 provides elevations for the bathroom. See IBC Section 1101.2. The <br /> following comments shall be addressed: <br /> a. Elevation "D"shall include a vertical grab bar per ICC A117.1-09 Section 604.5.1 and <br /> Figure 604.5.1. <br /> b. Additional dimensions for the position of the rear wall grab bar shall be provided per ICC <br /> A117.1-09 Section 604.5.2 and Figure 604.5.2. <br /> c. The sinks shall be provided with pipe protection per ICC A117.1-09 Section 606.6. <br /> Miscellaneous: <br /> 10. Sheet A-1.1 specifies installation of new Door D102. The following comments shall be <br /> addressed: <br /> a. The Type B door appears to include glazing. The glazing shall be safety glass per IBC <br /> Section 2406.4.1. <br /> b. The Door Schedule shall specify that the door has a maximum thermal rating of U=0.6. <br /> See WSEC-15 Section C503.1. <br /> 11. Plan 1/A-1.1 and Elevation 2/A-1.1 shows modifications to the existing bathroom. The <br /> following comments shall be addressed: <br /> a. The Door Schedule shall specify locks for Door D101. See IBC Section 1210.3.1 <br /> Exception 1. <br /> b.
