6
O Provide safe passage and signage to all buildings utilized in
daily operations by city employees.
6. Maintaining, as much as practicable, utility service to buildings
during the Work. Utility lines damagedas a result of Work
activities shall be repaired and service restored as soon as possible.
7. Providing the City a minimum of one (1) day notice if the Work
will require restrictions to available parking near the Property.
Notification of restrictions to public right-of-way parking (i.e.
street parking, etc.) will take the form of No Parking signs. Posting
of signs shall be no less than 48 hours' notice prior to restrictions
going into effect.
8. Restoring the grades, vegetation, and landscape for the Property as
defined in the contract documents.
Where possible, existing features will be used by Ecology's
Contractor as elevation reference points for restoring Property
topography. In general, the Work may result in a smoother grade
in the park than pre-existing conditions. Restored grades will be as
close to the pre -Work conditions as possible using appropriate
survey control methods, but may vary by as much as plus or minus
6 inch because of variations in the topsoil compost or other factors.
Ecology will adjust grades as requested by the City to alleviate
drainage issues in areas identified and agreed upon. These areas
are indicated in the design documents. City staff will be on site
during this work to inspect and approve all work activities.
Restoration will be performed to return the Property to a condition
as close as practicable to its original condition and appearance,
unless otherwise indicated. Shrubs and other vegetation will be
replaced "in -kind" with young or immature plants of the same
type, unless otherwise indicated. These plants will be smaller than
the original plant in most cases.
Restoration of on -site utilities (including irrigation and electrical
systems), paver patios and walkways, and other landscape features
will be perfoinied using existing materials at the Property, unless
an agreement has been reached with Ecology to restore with new
materials. Ecology will infoiui City representatives if existing
materials re -used in the restoration are in poor condition, if
discovered after the bid, but replacement of such materials shall
not be Ecology's or the contractor's responsibility. The City should
provide materials as needed to Ecology for integration during work
prior to the start of work..
