CHIP ID�4252�B62B <br />C__ <br />��eas unless the Applfcant provides an analysis of altemative sites and <br />e..isting facilities. <br />(d) When tower structures for above ground utility and/or <br />communicaCbn facilities are pmposed to be located within 300 feet of <br />residentially zoned areas, in or wfthin 200 feet of gateway comdors as <br />designated by the Everett Comprehensive Plan, or in or within 200 feet <br />or areas under the jurisdiction of the Shoreline Master Program, zones <br />which otherwise require Review Process II shall use Review Process III. <br />(e) All utility and communicadon facllltles shall be installed <br />underground or within structures to the greatest extent pracUcal In order <br />to maximize safety and minimize visual and noise impacts upon <br />surrounding pro{�erties. <br />(� Above ground and communications facilities shall be designed so <br />as to be lowest height possible to edequately serve the needs of the <br />public for the proposed uGlity of communication service. <br />(g) Towers associated with above ground utllfty and communications <br />facilities and all ancillary structures shell comply with the setback of the <br />zone In whlch the proFerty is located. <br />(h) The above ground utility or communication facility shall be <br />removed from the site should the use for such purposes be discontfnued <br />for 120 days of more. <br />(i) Maintenance or replacement of existing utillty or communications <br />facilities, and the installation of new utility poles, light poles or standards, <br />switch cabinets, pad mount transfortners ur other similar utility of <br />communications tacilities of a minor nature and small scale are exempt <br />from this sectfon. <br />Q} To the extent provided by law, the Ciry may �equire udl(ty or <br />communications servlce provlder to allow up to two additional service <br />providers to be located on shared facilitles to discourage the proliferation <br />of tower structures, conslstent with technological feasibfllty. <br />PACE 4/7 <br />(k) Utilfty or communlcaGon facilities which require towers for which <br />safety lights are required by the FAA shall not be permitted unless the <br />applicant demonstrates that such a facllity in the proposed locatlon and <br />at such a height is necessary to adequately serve the needs of the public <br />for the proposed utility or communfcations service. <br />� <br />
