i <br /> All side sewer licenses issued hereunder shall expire <br /> on the 31st day of December of the year of issue and <br /> may be renewed from year to year upon request and pay- <br /> ment of the required renewal fee , unless applicant 's <br /> license has been revoked by the Commissioner of Public <br /> Works as provided in Section 2 .20.090. <br /> Revocation of a side sewer contractor's license by the <br /> Commissioner of Public Works pursuant to Section 2.20. <br /> 090 shall automatically cancel that one' s side sewer <br /> contractor' s license without refund in addition to other <br /> penalties that may be provided by this ordinance . <br /> The applicant shall also furnish a certificate which will <br /> show evidence that he or it has liability insurance in <br /> effect during the term of said license with an insurance <br /> company acceptable to the Commissioner of Public Works <br /> with minimum limits for bodily injury to any one person <br /> in any one accident of $50,000, and a limit of $100,000 <br /> for bodily injury in any one accident , and a limit of <br /> $25 ,000 for property damage in any one accident , and pro- <br /> viding that such insurance shall be cancellable only <br /> after ten days written notice to the City of Everett. <br /> Cancellation or voiding of applicant 's insurance policy <br /> by whatsoever means shall automatically cancel applicant ' s <br /> side sewer license. <br /> Section. 2: That Section 2.20.080 be and the same <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows; <br /> 2.20.080. Licensee hereunder to furnish bond; con- <br /> ditions of. bond required; effective date thereof. At the <br /> time of issuing a license the person or persons receiving <br /> the same shall file in the office of the City Clerk-Com- <br /> ptroller, a bond in the sum of Three Thousand ($3 ,000) <br /> Dollars, with one or more responsible sureties to be <br /> approved by the Commissioner of Public Works of the City, <br /> conditioned that he, or they, will indemnify and save <br /> harmless the City of Everett from all suits , accidents <br /> and damages consequent therefrom for or by any reason of <br /> any opening in said street , avenue , alley, or highway, or <br /> for the altering , laying, repair or extension of any side <br /> sewer, lateral or drain , and that he or they will pay to <br /> the City any and all damages to such sewers as shall <br /> result from carelessness or want of skill in him or them, <br /> or those in his or their employ, in making any connection <br /> with any public or private sewers which he or they may at <br /> any time make or attempt to make, for any person or persons <br /> whatsoever, and that he will pay to the City the cost of <br /> repairing or replacing any part or portion of the side <br /> sewer or main sewer connection therewith installed by such <br /> one upon the public right of way which was negligently or <br /> carelessly installed and/or failed to function suitably, <br /> and that he or they will also replace and restore the <br /> street , avenue, alley or highway to as good state and con- <br /> dition as at the time of the commencement of said work, <br /> to the satisfaction of the City Engineer, and shall conform <br /> in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City <br /> Council and the Commissioner of Public Works, and further <br /> - 2 - <br />
