i All side sewer licenses issued hereunder shall expire on the 31st day of December of the year of issue and may be renewed from year to year upon request and pay- ment of the required renewal fee , unless applicant 's license has been revoked by the Commissioner of Public Works as provided in Section 2 .20.090. Revocation of a side sewer contractor's license by the Commissioner of Public Works pursuant to Section 2.20. 090 shall automatically cancel that one' s side sewer contractor' s license without refund in addition to other penalties that may be provided by this ordinance . The applicant shall also furnish a certificate which will show evidence that he or it has liability insurance in effect during the term of said license with an insurance company acceptable to the Commissioner of Public Works with minimum limits for bodily injury to any one person in any one accident of $50,000, and a limit of $100,000 for bodily injury in any one accident , and a limit of $25 ,000 for property damage in any one accident , and pro- viding that such insurance shall be cancellable only after ten days written notice to the City of Everett. Cancellation or voiding of applicant 's insurance policy by whatsoever means shall automatically cancel applicant ' s side sewer license. Section. 2: That Section 2.20.080 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows; 2.20.080. Licensee hereunder to furnish bond; con- ditions of. bond required; effective date thereof. At the time of issuing a license the person or persons receiving the same shall file in the office of the City Clerk-Com- ptroller, a bond in the sum of Three Thousand ($3 ,000) Dollars, with one or more responsible sureties to be approved by the Commissioner of Public Works of the City, conditioned that he, or they, will indemnify and save harmless the City of Everett from all suits , accidents and damages consequent therefrom for or by any reason of any opening in said street , avenue , alley, or highway, or for the altering , laying, repair or extension of any side sewer, lateral or drain , and that he or they will pay to the City any and all damages to such sewers as shall result from carelessness or want of skill in him or them, or those in his or their employ, in making any connection with any public or private sewers which he or they may at any time make or attempt to make, for any person or persons whatsoever, and that he will pay to the City the cost of repairing or replacing any part or portion of the side sewer or main sewer connection therewith installed by such one upon the public right of way which was negligently or carelessly installed and/or failed to function suitably, and that he or they will also replace and restore the street , avenue, alley or highway to as good state and con- dition as at the time of the commencement of said work, to the satisfaction of the City Engineer, and shall conform in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City Council and the Commissioner of Public Works, and further - 2 -
