EN
9. Develop preliminary seismic loadings based on existing geotechnical information.
10. Review available record drawings.
11. Develop preliminary seismic design ground motion parameters for the seismic analysis
based on existing soil information.
12. Provide an assessment of liquefaction, liquefaction-induced settlement and lateral
spreading to the extent possible with existing soil information.
13. Construct Finite Element Models for the structures identified to undergo the Seismic
Resiliency Evaluation.
14. Analyze the structural models for applicable current codes loadings and guidelines and
based on the South Whidbey Island design seismic event.
15. Identify conceptual methods to mitigate the impacts of the design seismic event.
16. Provide a Draft TM reporting deficiencies and recommendation for retrofitting.
17. Present report/finding to the City in a workshop setting.
18. Finalize report addressing City Comments
19. Prepare a final Seismic Infrastructure Resiliency Assessment TM.
Client Responsibilities
1. Provide review comments for Climate Change and Sea Level Resilience Assessment
TM.
2. Provide review comments for Infrastructure Resilience Assessment TM.
Assumptions
1. Geotechnical evaluations will be performed based on existing available information.
2. Inundation evaluation does not include coastal flooding conditions resulting from storm
surge, wind set-up, wave run-up or high tide in combination with pluvial flooding.
3. Changes in l&I resulting from climate change and potential consequences of extreme
conditions will be in the collection system modeling
4. ASCE 41 requirements and guidelines will not be used for this task.
5. The 7.4M South Whidbey Island Fault (SWIF) event will be used to assess the structural
resiliency on the structures and the site piping. A 7.4M SWIF event has a 2%chance of
occurring over the next 50 years (1 in 2,475-year event)
Deliverables
1.
