Subtask 8.4 SRO8 Leaking Hatch - Final Design
Utilizing the information obtained during Phase 1,Jacobs will continue with the design and
development of construction documents and cost estimates of the leaking hatch replacement
cover within the SR08 vault. Plans and specifications that will be submitted using the remaining
budget in the contract (under Subtask 7.5) represent 90% design level.
Specific activities include:
• Prepare 100% bid-set documents (design plans and specifications), per Tables 3 and
4. (As stated above, only one bid-set package will be developed for this SOW.)
• Prepare draft Engineers opinion of construction costs. The draft cost estimate will be
submitted along with the 100% bid-set documents.
• Prepare final bid-set documents, final cost estimate and responses to City review
comments.
This task assumes no coordination meetings/review meetings are anticipated outside of the
already scheduled bi-weekly PM meetings covered within Subtask 8.1. Refer to Table 2 for
Jacobs schedule on a subtask level.
Deliverables:
• 100% bid-set documents and draft cost estimate.
• Final bid-set documents, final cost estimate and responses to City review comments.
Subtask 8.5 Lift Station #1 Valve Vault - Predesign
Jacobs will continue to advance the design services for a slab for their Lift Station #1 valve vault
to support the Job Order Contract (JOC) project that will perform condition inspection of the
forcemain pipe. Plans and specifications that will be submitted using the remaining budget in
the contract (under Subtask 7.5) represent concept-level (-15%) design of the slab. This task
assumes that the final deliverable will represent Final bid-set.
This task assumes the following:
• General vault layout and equipment data (dimensions and weight etc.) will be
furnished by the JOC contractor (Forma). Vault construction is anticipated to be a
reinforced cast-in-place base slab with precast concrete walls and lid in a "saddle"
configuration. Note that no engineering stamp will be put onto these predesigns.
Jacobs will refer to stamped calculations for development of the in-place base slab
design.
Page 7
