City of Everett 00 7300 - 6 <br /> 2020 Biosolids Removal UT3705-11 <br /> 2. The Contractor shall clean up any spills immediately per the Contractor's <br /> approved Spill Prevention Plan or in a manner approved of by the City's <br /> Project Manager. Spill response and cleanup shall be at the Contractor's <br /> expense. <br /> 1 <br /> C. Dredge Operations <br /> 1. Contractor shall determine and implement the best operational procedure <br /> for the successful removal of the defined quantity of biosolids within the <br /> allotted amount of time. <br /> 2. Contractor's plan for removal shall be submitted and approved prior to the <br /> start of the work. <br /> 1.13 BIOSOLIDS DEWATERING ' <br /> A. Biosolids Dewatering Equipment <br /> 1. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and appurtenances <br /> necessary to perform and support the dewatering and stockpiling of the <br /> biosolids. <br /> 2. The City is not responsible for the performance efficiency of any item of the <br /> Contractor's equipment or equipment system used in this Contract. <br /> B. Biosolids Dewatering Operations <br /> erations <br /> 1. The Contractor shall understand that it is imperative that each load of <br /> material must contain at a minimum of 28% TS. Materials with a solids <br /> content of less than 28% TS will be too wet to transport and too wet to work <br /> with for land application. <br /> 2. Contractor shall determine and implement the best operational procedures <br /> for the successful dewatering of the biosolids to the required minimum TS <br /> content of 28% TS. <br /> 3. Upon completion of the work, the Contractor will be responsible for returning <br /> the Biosolids Pad staging areas and haul routes along the pad to their <br /> original condition at the start of the project. Any damage by the Contractors <br /> operations to the Biosolids Pad staging areas and haul routes along the pad <br /> will be the responsibility of the Contractor to repair to the satisfaction of the <br /> City's Project Manager. <br /> 1.14 BIOSOLIDS STOCKPILING <br /> A. Separation of Material <br /> 1. Material dredged and dewatered from the recirculation channel shall be <br /> stockpiled along the north and western edge of the biosolids pad. <br /> 2. At times, material from King County may be temporarily stockpiled within <br /> the buker areas along the southwestern portion of the pad. Materials from <br /> 00 7300 - 6 SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br />
