Task 1700 Outfall Pipeline Inspection and Repair <br /> Assessment <br /> Objective <br /> Provide inspection services to determine the cause of the leak at the discharge manhole and <br /> propose possible alternatives for repair. <br /> HDR Services <br /> 1. Perform site visit during the manned inspection to review the internal condition of the <br /> discharge manhole and the 48-inch pipeline. <br /> 2. Prepare a draft version of the Outfall Pipeline Inspection and Repair Assessment Technical <br /> Memorandum (TM) detailing the inspection findings and provide a recommended pipeline <br /> and/or manhole repair. <br /> 3. Prepare meeting agenda and attend an Outfall Pipeline Inspection and Repair Assessment <br /> TM review meeting with City staff and the contractor to present results and respond to <br /> questions or comments. <br /> 4. Incorporate comments and finalize Outfall Pipeline Inspection and Repair Assessment TM <br /> including providing repair detail and specification if required. <br /> 5. Respond to questions or issues that arise during pipeline and/or manhole repair. <br /> Client Responsibilities <br /> 1. 48-inch outfall pipeline to be taken out of service and drained as much as possible to <br /> perform manned inspection. <br /> 2. Perform manned inspection of the 48-inch pipeline. <br /> 3. Provide digital version of inspection photos and/or video. <br /> 4. Facilitate Outfall Pipeline Inspection and Repair Assessment TM review meeting at Public <br /> Works or Everett Water Pollution Control Facility (EWPCF). <br /> 5. Provide construction observation of pipeline and/or manhole repair. <br /> Assumptions <br /> 1. The site visit during the manned inspection will be performed by an HDR Senior Engineer <br /> and will not exceed 1-8 hour day including travel to and from site. No confined space entry <br /> will be required. <br /> 2. Manned inspection to be limited to approximately 30 LF from the discharge manhole through <br /> the 90°horizontal bend terminating at the pipe to pipe connection where the newly installed <br /> 48-inch effluent pipe connects to the existing effluent pipe.. <br /> 3. Inspection of the 48-inch pipeline to be performed during high tide conditions to assist in <br /> locating potential leaks. A secondary inspection during low tide may be required if pipeline <br /> cannot be drained. <br /> 4. Outfall Pipeline Inspection and Repair Assessment Review Meeting will be attended by two <br /> staff members from HDR and will not exceed 4 hours including travel to and from the <br /> meeting. <br /> City of Everett—WPCF FEN Amendment No.4 2 Scope of Services <br />
