LS L C2=
AZ/Z Engineering Company SERVING THE NORTHWEST&ALASKA SINCE 1984
quarter-century plus power of ideas
engineers
April 2017 geotechnical
i125
P geostructures I civil 431610
Sabrina Fandler
Engineering/Permit Services
City of Everett Public Works
3200 Cedar Street
Everett,WA 98201
Responses: 11 April 2017 Plan Review
City of Everett Public Works
Permit Application No PW 1612-011
4220 Colby Ave Apartments Addition; Everett WA
Our responses to the above captioned review comments, corresponding to the enumerated paragraphs in the
subject memorandum, are as follows:
1. Plans and documents resubmitted are listed in our transmittal letter of this packet.
2. See the plan corrections or clarifications responding to the redlined markups except where otherwise
explained below.
a. Revision made;we have moved the sprinkler meter and DCVA inside the building mechanical room where
the sprinkler riser is less than 70-feet from the water main, while still showing the option to locate these
close to the street where shown originally— see plans with revision and signature date 25 April 2017.
b. There was no additional story added to the building as originally proposed. The Architect states that the
floors have been renumbered with the base level called out as first floor per City comments. The fixture
counts used in our sizing of the building utilities remain valid.
c. We have revised the callout to the new fire hydrant so that it remains valid to the sheet where it appears.
d. The City required notes for sanitary sewer is on sheet C-5. We have added an appropriate reference to this
on sheet C-4 to avoid duplication.
3. We have revised the plans consistent with the Stormwater Reviewer comments.
a. We have moved the edge of filter swale and notched curb for a 3-ft clearance around the building corner,
allowing a pathway to the parking lot as suggested.
b. Notwithstanding the fact that the filter swale is situated where the runoff presently infiltrates along the
south property line due to lack storm drainage while no flooding of the south neighboring building has
been reported,in concurrence with City policy we have added the required underdrain and low
permeability liner.
I trust the above is sufficient for the present considerations. Questions, comments and discussions are welcome
at your convenience.
Sincerely,
- -- g .mpany .`
000110,
0 10
Enayat S = zi` PE L.E. .
Civil and Geotechnical rigineer
7740 196th Avenue NE(Historic Red Brick Road) • P.0,Box 2758 • Redmond,WA 98073-2758(Street 98053-4710)
425.898.1007 I fax 425.898.9699 I info@aziznw.com
