The project includes a new canopy on the west side of the building.See IBC Sections 107.2.1, <br /> 1603.1, and 1604.1. The following comments shall be addressed: <br /> a. The construction of the canopy is not specified and cannot be reviewed. The canopy framing <br /> shall be shown on Sheet A-7. Connections between the canopy framing members,to the <br /> existing structure,and to the foundations shall specified in the drawings. <br /> b. Calculations substantiating the framing and connections shall be submitted for review. <br /> c. Reinforcement requirements shall be specified for the foundations shown in foundation plan on <br /> Sheet A-3. See IBC Section 19001.5 Item 3. <br /> Please refer to the attached structural calculations for design of the canopy framing and <br /> connections.
