The general notes on Sheet A-0 should specify the 2015 International Building Code and the 2015 <br /> International Existing Building Code as the governing code for the design. See the Everett <br /> Municipal Code Section 1010.4.7 <br /> Codes are specified now on Sheet A-0 <br /> 2. The IEBC provides three alternative methods for performing work: The Prescriptive Compliance <br /> Method (Section (301.1.2),and the Performance Compliance Method (301.1.3). The method <br /> selected for the project should be specified in the architectural general notes. A statement should <br /> be provided in the general notes on Sheet A-0 clarifying the types of work that are included in the <br /> project(e.g., repairsa‘additions,change of occupancy,etc.)and referencing the appropriate IEBC <br /> sections. In order;.to proceed with the review,comments provided herein are based on the project <br /> complying with the Work Area Method of Chapter 5. Based on a review of the submittal <br /> documents,the::prgposedproject appears to include the following work: Level 2 Alternations <br /> (Chapter 8), Change:ofO:ccupancy=(Chapter 10), and Additions(Chapter 11). Additional and <br /> alternative types;of work required,for the project shall be identified by the designer-of-record. <br /> Additional comments:::may bepending. See IBC Section 301.1 <br /> A general noteihas;been added that the work is addition to existing building.
