The statement shall substantiated that the building has been modified to be <br /> fully-accessible. Where the building has not been made fully-accessible per IEBC Section 705.2 <br /> Exception 1, documentation substantiating that the 20% requirement has been satisfied shall <br /> be submitted for review. Item contributing to the 20% requirement shall be directly related to <br /> work improving accessibility in the current project. See IEBC Sections 1105.1 and 806.1. <br /> 17. Signs shall be provided by all accessible <br /> bathrooms. The location of the signs shall be specified on the plans. See IBC Section 1101.2 <br /> and ICC 117.1-09 Section 1111.1 Item 4. <br /> 21.This comment has not been completely addressed. <br /> a. The response and Sheet A-0 appear to indicate that van-accessible parking will be added to <br /> the southeast parking lot. A partial plan for the area shall be included in the construction <br /> drawings verifying the layout meets the requirements of ICC A117.1-09 Section 502. Note <br /> that the addition of the space shall be performed as part of the current project to qualify <br /> for the 20% threshold per IBC Section 705.2 Exception 1. IBC Section 1101.2. <br /> b. The space shall be provided with an accessible parking sign. <br /> c. Additional accessible parking improvements shall be performed as needed to satisfy the <br /> requirements of IEBC Section 705.2. Improvements may include modifying existing parking <br /> spaces to provide accessible spacing meeting the current code, constructing sidewalk <br /> ramps,and adding signage. <br /> 22.This comment has not been completely addressed. The original comment stated that the <br /> elevations on Sheet A-5 appear to indicate a stepped entrance. The response states that the <br /> doors will have a landing per Detail 2/A-8. The drawings are not consistent, which appear to <br /> show a step in the East Elevation and ramps sloping away from the building in the North and <br /> South Elevation. The Ground Floor Plan on Sheet A-2 shows a sidewalk running along the east <br /> side of the building. Lastly, Detail 7/S3.1 specifies that the top of the concrete foundation wall, <br /> which aligns with the interior slab-on-grade, must be 8 inches minimum above the exterior <br /> grade.
