Each individual intersection closure or partial <br /> 3 closure, must be addressed in the traffic control plan, which must be submitted to <br /> 4 and accepted by the Engineer, see Section 1-10.2(2). <br /> 5 b. When planing or paving and related construction must occur in an intersection, I <br /> 6 schedule and sequence such work into quarters of the intersection, or half or more <br /> 7 of an intersection with side street detours unless otherwise directed by the <br /> 8 Engineer. Be prepared to sequence the work to individual lanes or portions thereof. <br /> 9 c. Allow new compacted HMA asphalt to cool to ambient temperature before any <br /> 10 traffic is allowed on it. Traffic is not allowed on newly placed asphalt until approval I <br /> 11 has been obtained from the Engineer. <br /> 12 2. If the Contractor or the Engineer <br /> 32 requests to do nighttime work that is not already established in the Contract, a 30 day notice I <br /> 33 is required. The Engineer will then review the request and apply for the Noise Variance; the <br /> 34 City can deny the request at its sole discretion. Nighttime work is considered to be between <br /> 35 10 pm and 7 am unless otherwise stated. The following mitigation measures shall be in , <br /> 36 effect during a Noise Variance, though there may be additional project specific <br /> 37 requirements: <br /> 38 1. Back-up alarms shall be directional broad band type alarms. <br /> II <br /> 39 2. Trucks performing export haul shall have well maintained bed liners. <br /> 40 3. Tailgate slamming will be prohibited. <br /> 41 4.
