If tested, <br /> I 7 compliance of Va will use WSDOT SOP 731. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Testing for compliance of asphalt binder content will be by WSDOT FOP for AASHTO T <br /> 10 308. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Testing for compliance of gradation will be by FOP for WAQTC T 27/T 11. <br /> I13 <br /> 14 5-04.3(9)C4 Mixture Nonstatistical Evaluation— Pay Factors <br /> I 15 For each lot of material falling outside the tolerance limits in 5-04.3(9), the Contracting <br /> 16 Agency will determine a Composite Pay Factor (CPF) using the following price adjustment <br /> 17 factors: <br /> I 18 <br /> Table of Price Adjustment Factors <br /> Constituent Factor <br /> I «f„ <br /> All aggregate passing: 1%", 1",3/4", 1/2",3/s"and 2 <br /> No.4 sieves <br /> IAll aggregate passing No.8 sieve 15 <br /> All aggregate passing No.200 sieve 20 <br /> IAsphalt binder 40 <br /> Air Voids(Va)(where applicable) 20 <br /> 1 19 <br /> 20 Each lot of HMA produced under Nonstatistical Evaluation and having all constituents falling <br /> 21 within the tolerance limits of the job mix formula shall be accepted at the unit Contract price <br /> I 22 with no further evaluation. When one or more constituents fall outside the nonstatistical <br /> 23 tolerance limits in the Job Mix Formula shown in Table of Price Adjustment Factors, the lot <br /> 24 shall be evaluated in accordance with Section 1-06.2 to determine the appropriate CPF. The <br /> I 25 nonstatistical tolerance limits will be used in the calculation of the CPF and the maximum <br /> 26 CPF shall be 1.00. When less than three sublots exist, backup samples of the existing <br /> 27 sublots or samples from the Roadway shall be tested to provide a minimum of three sets of <br /> I <br /> 28 results for evaluation. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 5-04.3(9)C5 Vacant <br /> 31 <br /> 32 5-04.3(9)C6 Mixture Nonstatistical Evaluation— Price Adjustments <br /> I 33 For each lot of HMA mix produced under Nonstatistical Evaluation when the calculated CPF <br /> 34 is less than 1.00, a Nonconforming Mix Factor (NCMF) will be determined. The NCMF <br /> 35 equals the algebraic difference of CPF minus 1.00 multiplied by 60 percent.
