The North and South Elevations on Sheet S1.2 appear to show vertically-diagonal framing between <br /> Grids B and C. The size, location, and purpose of the framing is not clear. The intersection of this <br /> framing with other structural framing is not clear. Connections for the framing do not appear to be <br /> provided. Note that Plan 2/S1.1 appears to provide reference to Detail 4/S1.2 at Grid 2/C, which is <br /> presumed intended to reference Detail "4A". However, the diagonal framing shown appears to be <br /> the tension-only lateral bracing as typically identified in Plan 1/S1.1 at Grid D.3/3. The structural <br /> drawings should be revised to clarify this framing, including additional section cuts and details as <br /> needed. Calculations substantiating the framing and connection design shall be submitted for <br /> review. See IBC Sections 107.2.1, 1603.1, and 1604.1. <br /> Response: New elevations have been added along with additional section cuts and <br /> details. Please see revised structural plan, elevation, and details. <br /> 5. Plan 1/S1.1 references the moment connection in Detail 7/S1.2 at Grid C/1 for the column base. <br /> Detail 7/S1.2 does not show this condition.
