' 9 <br /> SCOPE OF WORK(continued) <br /> Task 5 Basis of Design and Pre-Design Report <br /> Objective: Support the City in selecting a preferred design alternative to reflect in the Final pre-design <br /> report. <br /> Activities: The following activities are associated with this task: <br /> • Prepare a technical memorandum regarding the existing retaining walls and coordinate with <br /> the City to determine project strategy. <br /> • Prepare alternatives for retrofitting the existing swale in lieu of rehabilitating/replacing the <br /> existing retaining walls. <br /> • Review feasibility for new bioretention facility in a separate location on the Albertson's <br /> parking lot. <br /> • Determine amount of contributing area form City right-of-way that can be routed to the new <br /> bioretention facility based on review of survey information and hydrologic analyses. <br /> • Review current Ecology-approved treatment technologies for basic treatment for retrofitting <br /> the existing swale based on available space within the existing retaining walls. <br /> • Prepare conceptual cost opinion for retrofitting the existing swale with an enclosed <br /> stormwater treatment BMP. <br /> Deliverables: The following deliverables will be prepared: <br /> • Technical memorandum regarding existing retaining walls. <br /> • Sketches and calculation summaries of sizing enclosed stormwater treatment BMPs <br /> • Cost opinion for retrofitting the existing biofiltration swale. <br /> • Sketches and calculation summaries for sizing new bioretention facility. <br /> Assumptions: The following assumptions apply to this task: <br /> • The stormwater treatment BMP to retrofit the existing swale will be sized to treat runoff <br /> from the contributing area from the existing Albertson's parking lot,approximately 2.0 acres. <br /> • The bioretention facility will be sized to treat runoff only from City right-of-way. <br /> • No additional geotechnical borings are required for the new bioretention facility. <br /> • The surface area above the enclosed stormwater treatment BMP will be finished to reflect <br /> changes to the sidewalk alignment and additional available parking area. <br /> Task 6 30% Design <br /> Objective: To prepare a 30%design package for retrofitting the existing swale. <br /> Activities: The following activities are associated with this task: <br /> • Prepare 30%plans based on City design criteria and manufacturer's requirements for the <br /> selected BMP. <br /> Deliverables: The following deliverables will be prepared: <br /> • 30%plans <br /> City of Everett 556-1344-007(01/09) <br /> Evergreen Way Water Quality Retrofit 3 August 2014 <br /> Scope Amendment 1 <br /> 118 <br />
