Task 3—Removal and Handling of Impacted Soil <br /> Item 3.1: Impacted Soil Excavation <br /> Soil Excavation includes excavation of interior soil removal areas by conventional soil <br /> removal techniques (tracked excavator). This includes providing and installing shoring <br /> measures that may be necessary to mitigate potential sidewall failure during removal of <br /> impacted soil as defined in the Work Plan. Approximate soil volumes anticipated for <br /> removal are 485 Cubic Yards in total. <br /> Item 3.2: Loading, Transportation, and Disposal of Impacted Soil <br /> Loading, Transportation and Disposal of Impacted Soil includes all handling related to <br /> soil loading into trucks or bins; covering of loads prior to exiting the Site; and <br /> coordination of trucking with the receiving facility (CEMEX located at 6300 Glenwood <br /> Ave, Everett, WA). <br /> Task 4—Site Restoration <br /> Item 4.1: Import,Placement,and Compaction of Backfill Material <br /> AIS will install, and compact a "clean" backfill material composed of a granular, non- <br /> cohesive material with 100%passing the 2-inch sieve, approximately 50%passing the #4 <br /> sieve, and less than 10%passing the #200 sieve.Backfill material will be Virgin Crushed <br /> rock from CEMEX located at 6300 Glenwood Ave, Everett, WA <br /> Backfill shall be installed in lifts not to exceed 1 foot loose thickness, and will be <br /> compacted using non-vibratory equipment and must pass 90% compaction test <br /> requirements as specified by the Engineer. <br /> Item 4.2: Replacement of Concrete Floor Slab <br /> Replacement of Concrete Floor Slab includes all work associated with restoration, in <br /> kind, of concrete: floor slabs inside the building that were removed for excavation <br /> purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, all edge preparations; forming, import, <br /> placement, and finishing of 5-inch thick cement concrete slab to the lines and grade of the <br /> previously existing building floor slab. A drawing has been provided showing the <br /> proposed replacement section with#4 Rebar 18" OC/EW with dowelled embedment per <br /> plan. <br /> Item 4.3: Final Cleanup and Demobilization <br /> Final Cleanup includes restoration of any building features damaged or demolished as <br /> part of Site Preparation work and cleanup of interior and exterior areas impacted by the <br /> work.
