}
PUBLIC WORKS
ii. Cleanouts should be provided at end of underdrain pipes to facilitate maintenance.
Cleanouts have been provided at all infiltration pipe-end locations.
iii. Underdrain pipes below driving surfaces must meet pipe material and cover
requirements.
Note has been added to plan.
iv. Site soil suitability requirements must be complied with to ensure that groundwater
resources are protected. Provide documentation that the native soils meet the
suitability criteria at each infiltration facility or provide a sand filter layer. Site
suitability data may be provided during construction as long as the sand layer is
shown in the approved plans.
A sand filter layer has been provided.
v. Infiltration galleries should not be located in close proximity to fill walls.
Note: One Infiltration gallery has been relocated as requested.
b. Provide plan notes requiring protection of the infiltration soils during construction. Soils
below the infiltration areas should not be compacted to the same level as is typically done
below a pavement section.
Note has been added to plan.
c. The revisions to the water quality pond elevations have addressed the concerns about the
function of the detention tanks. However, the changes need to be reflected throughout the
plan set, including the profiles and all plan sheet labeling.
Revised as requested.
d. Pond side slopes must be 3:1 or flatter unless a wall is provided as the sides. Based on the
spot elevations provided it appears that the side slopes are very steep, but no walls are
indicated.
Walls have been indicated and plan set have been revised.
