iii. C2.2:
1. Please include the City's standard storm drainage notes.
PORT RESPONSE: City's standard storm drainage notes have been added.
iv. C3.5:
1. The existing catch basin in the 8th St ROW must be removed and the
associated storm drainage pipes abandoned appropriately. Storm
drainage structures within the trail easement should also be
removed.
PORT RESPONSE: Note added to plans to remove catch basin and abandon
associated storm drainage pipes.
v. C4.0:
1. Because maintenance of the CDS unit requires the unit to be drained,
and because the outlet pipe of the CDS unit will be submerged and
below the normal water elevation in the pond, a gate valve or some
other means of"closing off"the pond from the unit must be provided
in order for maintenance of the unit to be effectively accomplished in
the future.
PORT RESPONSE:A gate valve has been added to the outlet pipe of the CDS
unit.
vi. C4.4:
1. Please extend the drawing to the southern end of the pavement.
Please also include notes stating that runoff from Lot 8,to the east
and south of Riverside Rd, shall not be allowed to enter the road—
and include measures to prevent this from occurring (such as an
asphalt lip across the southern end of the road pavement). Please
also indicate that the pipes coming into CB#30 from the east and
south are plugged.
PORT RESPONSE: Drawing viewport has been extended to show the south end
of existing pavement. Measures to prevent runoff from the specified areas and
associated notes have been added to the plans. Note has been added for CB
#30 regarding plugged pipes.
2. Some of the information given on the profile view for CB#28A
doesn't make sense—isn't there just one pipe coming in from the
east,that is, a 6" force main?
PORT RESPONSE: CB#28A has 12"gravity storm drain pipes connected from
the north and south, which are shown on sheet C4.4 in the profile for the
gravity storm drain system on Riverside Road. The 6"storm drain force main
from the east is shown on sheet C4.5 in the profile for the storm drain system
coming from 8th street. The respective callouts have been revised for clarity.
vii. C4.5:
1. For clarity, please do not show any demolished storm drainage
infrastructure on this sheet—such as the underdrain, associated catch
basin and outlet pipe in 8th St near proposed CB#5.
