 r
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
2.0 Site Description
2.1 Existing Conditions
The proposed site is located just east of the Everett Memorial Stadium in Everett between I-5 and
the Snohomish River. The entire site is approximately 59 acres of old landfill which will
eventually be developed, however, the proposed construction site is 3.11 acres in the northeast
corner of the site. The site has moderate slopes from east to west and then steep slopes at the
eastern edge just above the river. The site is located on an old landfill which has been pre-settled
in preparation for development. Runoff from the site sheet flows to the east via channels and
eventually into the Snohomish River. The site is currently undeveloped.
2.2 Proposed Construction Activities
Proposed construction activities include installation of TESC BMPs,stockpiling materials over
approximately 3.11 acres of the site, and seeding the stockpile to prevent future erosion.
No stormwater calculations have been performed for this project because it does not create any
new impervious surface, it is simply a grading activity.
The stockpile of material will interrupt sheetflow from areas upslope of the stockpile. The
sheetflow will be collected into collection ditches that will be seeded to slow water flow and
routed around the stockpile. To the south of the stockpile there is minimal flow that will be
collected thus dispersal should not be necessary. To the north the collected water is to be directed
into an existing ditch.
The following summarizes details regarding site areas:
• Total site area: 3.11 acres
• Percent impervious area before construction: 0 %
• Percent impervious area after construction: 0 %
• Disturbed area during construction: 3.11 acres
• Disturbed area that is characterized as impervious (i.e.,
access roads, staging,parking): 3.11 acres
• 2-year stormwater runoff peak flow prior to construction
(existing): 0.20 cfs
3
