1 <br /> CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> The cost of connection of pipes to the manhole is incidental and shall be included in the unit I <br /> price for this bide item. <br /> Measurement shall be per each manhole installed as measured upon completion. <br /> Bid Item 27: Combined Sewer Manhole,48-inch DIA, Additional Height <br /> Bid Item 28: Combined Sewer Manhole, 60-inch DIA, Additional Height <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Linear Foot (LF) <br /> In addition to the measurement per each, manhole in excess of 10 feet in height will be <br /> measured per linear foot for each additional foot of total height over 10 feet as measured I <br /> from the flow line to the surface of the Work. <br /> The unit price per linear foot shall be full compensation for all labor, material, tools and <br /> equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete the Work as defined in these Contract I <br /> Documents. <br /> Measurement of manhole height for payment purposes shall be the distance from the flowline <br /> of the outlet pipe to the surface of the Work measured to the nearest foot. <br /> Bid Item 29: Side Sewer Replacement <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA) <br /> The unit price per each side sewer replacement shall be full compensation for all labor, <br /> material, tools and equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete the work as defined in <br /> Section 7-18 of these Special Provisions and as shown on the Plans. <br /> Included in this bid item is locating the existing side sewer, replacing the side sewer as shown <br /> on the Contract Plans, connection to the main pipe and existing side sewer, fittings per COE <br /> Standard Drawings. Included in this bid item is the work to locate side sewers near the I <br /> property line, including depth of utility, prior to installing tees at the main. <br /> Included in this bid item are all costs for trench excavation, removing and disposing of <br /> pavement sidewalk, curb, miscellaneous surfacing, landscape materials or sod, removing I <br /> and disposing of existing side sewer pipe; hauling and disposing of surplus or unsuitable <br /> materials; excavation; backfill; dewatering; sewage bypassing; stockpiling, hauling, cleaning <br /> and flushing pipes;testing and inspecting and replacing; protecting and maintaining adjacent I <br /> utilities. <br /> Included in this bid item is installation of backwater valves where shown on the plans. <br /> Backwater valves will be furnished by the City for installation by the contractor. I <br /> All costs in jointing dissimilar side sewer pipe with a coupling shall be included in the unit <br /> price for this bid item. <br /> Restoration of private improvements in streets and private property affected by side sewer I <br /> construction and not otherwise included in other bid items, shall be considered incidental to <br /> this bid item. <br /> Bid Item 30: Temporary Bypass Pumping <br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS) <br /> The lump sum bid item for Temporary Bypass Pumping shall be full compensation for , <br /> materials, work, labor and equipment necessary to furnish, install, and maintain temporary <br /> facilities necessary to maintain the continual combined sewer flow and to prevent wastewater <br /> discharge to the environment throughout the duration of constructing new or rehabilitating <br /> existing sanitary sewer or combined sewer mains, or both, within the Project.
