I 30 31 Materials 32 The rock slope protection will meet the requirements of Section 9-13.4, "Class A Rock for ' 33 Erosion and Scour Protection". 34 35 Construction Requirements 36 The rock slope protection shall be placed in an even, continuous layer. The minimum layer 37 thickness shall be 18 inches. The rock slope protection shall be placed utilizing heavy 38 equipment and be tamped into place. The sequences of rock placement shall begin at the 39 base of the slope and work upward. I 40 41 The existing gabion west of Pier 1 shall be used to retain the rock in place.
