The minimum layer <br /> 37 thickness shall be 18 inches. The rock slope protection shall be placed utilizing heavy <br /> 38 equipment and be tamped into place. The sequences of rock placement shall begin at the <br /> 39 base of the slope and work upward. <br /> I 40 <br /> 41 The existing gabion west of Pier 1 shall be used to retain the rock in place.
