1 The State rates incorporated in this contract are applicable to all construction <br /> 2 activities associated with this contract. <br /> I 3 <br /> 4 1-07.9(1).OPT4.GR1 <br /> 5 (April 2, 2007) <br /> I 6 Application of Wage Rates for the Occupation of Landscape Construction <br /> 7 State prevailing wage rates for public works contracts are included in this contract <br /> 8 and show a separate listing for the occupation: <br /> I 9 <br /> 10 Landscape Construction, which includes several different occupation <br /> 11 descriptions such as: Irrigation and Landscape Plumbers, Irrigation and <br /> 12 Landscape Power Equipment Operators, and Landscaping or Planting <br /> I13 Laborers. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 In addition, federal wage rates that are included in this contract may also include <br /> I 16 occupation descriptions in Federal Occupational groups for work also specifically <br /> 17 identified with landscaping such as: <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Laborers with the occupation description, Landscaping or Planting, or <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Power Equipment Operators with the occupation description, Mulch Seeding <br /> 22 Operator. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 If Federal wage rates include one or more rates specified as applicable to <br /> I 25 landscaping work, then Federal wage rates for all occupation descriptions, specific <br /> 26 or general, must be considered and compared with corresponding State wage rates. <br /> 27 The higher wage rate, either State or Federal, becomes the minimum wage rate for <br /> 28 the work performed in that occupation. <br /> I29 <br /> 30 Contractors are responsible for determining the appropriate crafts necessary to <br /> 31 perform the contract work. If a classification considered necessary for performance <br /> I 32 of the work is missing from the Federal Wage Determination applicable to the <br /> 33 contract, the Contractor shall initiate a request for approval of a proposed wage and <br /> 34 benefit rate. The Contractor shall prepare and submit Standard Form 1444, Request <br /> I 35 for Authorization of Additional Classification and Wage Rate available at <br /> 36 http://www.wdol.gov/docs/sf1444.pdf, and submit the completed form to the <br /> 37 Engineer's office.
