I1 necessary to complete the work, including but not limited to: cleaning equipment, containment <br /> 2 system, and work platforms. <br /> I 3 <br /> 4 6-02.2.GR6 <br /> 5 Materials <br /> I 6 <br /> 7 6-02.2.INST1.GR6 <br /> 8 Section 6-02.2 is supplemented with the following: <br /> 9 <br /> 10 6-02.2.0PT1.GR6 <br /> 11 (April 1, 2013) <br /> 12 Resin Bonded Anchors <br /> I13 The resin bonded anchor system shall include the nut, washer, and threaded anchor rod <br /> 14 which is installed into hardened concrete with a resin bonding material. <br /> 15 <br /> I <br /> 16 Resin bonding material used in overhead and horizontal application shall be specifically <br /> 17 recommended by the resin manufacturer for those applications. <br /> 18 <br /> I 19 Resin bonding material used in submerged liquid environment shall be specifically <br /> 20 recommended by the resin manufacturer for this application. <br /> 21 <br /> I22 23 The resin bonded anchor system shall conform to the following requirements: <br /> 24 1. Threaded Anchor Rod and Nuts <br /> I 25 Threaded anchor rods shall conform to ASTM A 193 Grade B7 or ASTM A 449, <br /> 26 except as otherwise noted, and be fully threaded. Threaded anchor rods for <br /> 27 stainless steel resin bonded anchor systems shall conform to ASTM F 593 and <br /> 28 shall be Type 304 unless otherwise specified. <br /> I29 <br /> 30 Nuts shall conform to ASTM A 563, Grade DH, except as otherwise noted. Nuts <br /> 31 for stainless steel resin bonded anchor systems shall conform to ASTM F 594 <br /> I 32 and shall be Type 304 unless otherwise specified. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Washers shall conform to ASTM F 436, and shall meet the same requirements <br /> I 35 as the supplied anchor rod, except as otherwise noted. Washers for stainless <br /> 36 steel resin bonded anchor systems shall conform to ASTM A 240 and the <br /> 37 geometric requirements of ASME B18.21.1 and shall be Type 304 Stainless <br /> I 38 Steel unless otherwise specified. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Nuts and threaded anchor rods, except those manufactured of stainless steel, <br /> 41 shall be galvanized in accordance with AASHTO M 232. Galvanized threaded <br /> I 42 anchor rods shall be tested for embrittlement after galvanizing, in accordance <br /> 43 with Section 9-29.6(5). <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Threaded anchor rods used with resin capsules shall have the tip of the rod <br /> 46 chiseled in accordance with the resin capsule manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> 47 Galvanized threaded rods shall have the tip chiseled prior to galvanizing <br /> I 48 <br /> 49 2.
