DESCRIPTION/JUSTIFICATION OF AMENDMENT, MODIFICATION, OR CHANGE ORDER: <br /> The purpose of the FFY 2018 Homeland Security Grant Program (18HSGP) is to support state and local efforts to prevent terrorism and <br /> other catastrophic events and to prepare the Nation for threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to the security of the United States.. <br /> 18HSGP supports core capabilities across the five mission areas of Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery based on <br /> allowable costs. HSGP is comprised of three interconnected grant programs: State Homeland Security Program (SHSP), Urban Areas <br /> Security Initiative (UASI), and Operation Stonegarden (OPSG). These grant programs fund a range of preparedness activities, including <br /> planning, organization, equipment purchase,training, exercises, and management and administration. <br /> Snohomish County has approved an additional $29,000 to Subproject#8 On-Scene Security Protection and Law Enforcement <br /> for the purchase of AVON FM53 gas masks and filter canisters for two specialty law enforcement teams. Amendment A <br /> increases the total overall award from $11,000 to$40,000. No change to the performance period or the Timeline for final <br /> reimbursement requests and reports. <br /> 11. AMENDMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1 Change the Subproject#8 contract budget and overall contract award by$29,000 from $11,000 to$40,000. <br /> 2. No change to the contract expiration date of December 31, 2020. <br /> 3. No change the Timeline Final Reimbursement Request and Closeout Report due date to NLT January 15, 2021. <br /> No other changes are required. All other terms and conditions of the original contract and any previous amendments thereto remain in full <br /> force and effect. <br /> Snohomish County and Subgrantee acknowledge and accept the terms of this contract amendment and attachments hereto and have <br /> executed this amendment as of the date and year written below. The rights and obligations of both parties to this contract are governed <br /> by this Contract Amendment Face Sheet and other documents incorporated herein by reference or attached and identified in the original <br /> contract document.
