• <br /> (g) Those having inadequate facilities for egress in case <br /> 1 of fire or panic or those having insufficient stairways, <br /> elevators, fire escapes, or other means of communication. <br /> 2 Contrary to the standards recommended in the Building Exits <br /> Code, published by the National Fire Protection Association <br /> 3 in 1961, three copies of which are on file in the City Clerk's <br /> office and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> 4 <br /> (h) Those which have parts thereof which are so attached <br /> 5 that they may fall and injure members of the public or <br /> property. <br /> 6 <br /> (i) Those which because of their condition are unsafe, <br /> 7 insanitary, or dangerous to the health, morals, safety <br /> or general welfare of the people of the City. <br /> 8 <br /> (j) Those buildings existing in violation of any provision <br /> 9 of the Building Code of this City, or the Fire Prevention <br /> Code of this City, or any other Ordinance of the City. <br /> 10 <br /> All "dangerous buildings" within the terms of this Section of this Ordinance <br /> 11 are hereby declared to be public nuisances, and shall be repaired, vacated, <br /> or demolished as hereinafter provided. <br /> 12 <br /> SECTION 2: There is added to Ordinance No. 3115, Chapter 2.24, <br /> 13 Everett City Code, an additional Section to read as follows: <br /> 14 <br /> 2.24.011. Standards for Repair. Vacation. or Demolition. The following <br /> ( standards shall be followed in substance by the Building Inspector or <br /> 15 I other authorized officers of the City of Everett as hereinafter set <br /> !i forth or by the "Improvement Board" in ordering the repair, vacation, <br /> 16 l! or demolition of a "dangerous building": <br /> 17 ° (a) If the "dangerous building" can reasonably be repaired and <br /> has not deteriorated beyond 25 percent of the original valuation <br /> 18 so that it will no longer exist in violation of the terms of <br /> this Ordinance, it shall be ordered repaired. <br /> 19 <br /> (b) If the "dangerous building" is in such condition as to <br /> 20 make it dangerous to the health, morals, safety or general <br /> welfare of its occupants, it shall be ordered to be vacated. <br /> 21 �I <br /> (c) In any case where a "dangerous building" is 50 percent <br /> 22 damaged or decayed, or deteriorated from its original value <br /> or structure, it shall be demolished, and in all cases where <br /> 23 a building cannot be repaired so that it will no longer exist <br /> in violation of the terms of this Ordinance, it shall be <br /> 24 demolished. In all cases where a "dangerous building" is a <br /> fire hazard existing or erected in violation of the terms of <br /> 25 this Ordinance, or the Uniform Fire Prevention Ordinance or <br /> Ordinance 3697, or any other Ordinance of this City or <br /> 26 statute of the State of Washington, it shall be demolished. <br /> 27 SECTION 3: That Section 2.24.020, Everett City Code, is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows, to-wit: <br /> 28 2.24.020.
