• Green arrow alone: Vehicular traffic facing such a signal may cautiously enter the intersection only to make the move- ment indicated by such arrow but shall yield right of way to ether traffic or pedestrians lawfully within a crosswalk. Pedestrians facing such a signal may proceed across the roadway controlled by such signal unless prohibited by other signs or signals . Flashing red: When a red lens is illuminated by rapid intermittent flashes, drivers of vehicles shall stop before entering the nearest crosswalk at an intersection or at a stop line when marked, and the right to proceed shall be subject to the rules applicable after making a stop at a stop sign. Flashing yellow: When a yellow lens is illuminated with rapid intermittent flashes, drivers of vehicles may proceed through the intersection or past such signal only with caution . No traffic control signal or device shall be erected or maintained upon any city street designated as forming a part of the route of a primary state highway or secondary state highway unless first approved by the State Highway Commission, or the State Highway Department of the State of Washington . All new traffic control signals and all replacements of existing traffic control signals directing traffic to alternating,-.stop and go shall have three signal faces facing each street ,) road, or highway leading into the intersection with the red "Stop" signal at the top of such signal , the amber "Caution" signal , located at the center of such signal and the green "Go" signal located at the bottom of such signal . (c) Upon a one-way street, or upon any roadway on which traffic is restricted to one direction of movement , where the roadway is free from obstructions and of sufficient width for two or more lanes of moving vehicles, and such lanes are marked upon the travel portion of roadway. -4-
