• <br /> Green arrow alone: Vehicular traffic facing such a signal <br /> may cautiously enter the intersection only to make the move- <br /> ment indicated by such arrow but shall yield right of way <br /> to ether traffic or pedestrians lawfully within a crosswalk. <br /> Pedestrians facing such a signal may proceed across the roadway <br /> controlled by such signal unless prohibited by other signs or <br /> signals . <br /> Flashing red: When a red lens is illuminated by <br /> rapid intermittent flashes, drivers of vehicles shall stop <br /> before entering the nearest crosswalk at an intersection or <br /> at a stop line when marked, and the right to proceed shall <br /> be subject to the rules applicable after making a stop at a <br /> stop sign. <br /> Flashing yellow: When a yellow lens is illuminated with <br /> rapid intermittent flashes, drivers of vehicles may proceed <br /> through the intersection or past such signal only with <br /> caution . <br /> No traffic control signal or device shall be erected <br /> or maintained upon any city street designated as forming a <br /> part of the route of a primary state highway or secondary <br /> state highway unless first approved by the State Highway <br /> Commission, or the State Highway Department of the State <br /> of Washington . <br /> All new traffic control signals and all replacements of <br /> existing traffic control signals directing traffic to <br /> alternating,-.stop and go shall have three signal faces facing <br /> each street ,) road, or highway leading into the intersection <br /> with the red "Stop" signal at the top of such signal , the <br /> amber "Caution" signal , located at the center of such signal <br /> and the green "Go" signal located at the bottom of such signal . <br /> Section 4 : That Section 29 of Ordinance 32.11 , (being <br /> Everett City Code 8 . 12. 150) be, and it is hereby repealed. <br /> Section 5 : That Section 84 of Ordinance No. 3211 , <br /> (being Everett City Code 8.24.090) be, and it is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> 8.24.090 When overtaking vehicle may pass to the right . <br /> ( 1 ) The operator of a vehicle may overtake and pass upon the <br /> right of another vehicle only under the following conditions : <br /> (a) When the vehicle overtaken is making or about <br /> to make a left turn; <br /> (b) Upon a street or highway with unobstructed pave- <br /> ment not occupied by parked vehicles of sufficient width for <br /> two or more lanes of moving vehicles in each direction , and <br /> such lanes are marked upon the travel portion of roadway . <br /> (c) Upon a one-way street, or upon any roadway on <br /> which traffic is restricted to one direction of movement , <br /> where the roadway is free from obstructions and of sufficient <br /> width for two or more lanes of moving vehicles, and such lanes <br /> are marked upon the travel portion of roadway. <br /> -4- <br />
