t : I May 28,1986 <br />, I Councilman Niva said the final meeting of the Wastewater Committee <br /> , had been held and the report will be coming to council on June 11. <br /> Councilman Morrow commented on the radio program on NIRO this <br />:, I • morning pointing out the beauty of Everett. <br /> LAUREL DRIVE SLIDE <br /> 1 <br /> Councilman Stephenson reported the budget committee had met on the <br /> • Laurel Drive slide problem and felt there are some options and <br /> concerns that should be looked into before making a decision. He <br /> r• ', asked the council to review the letter received from the citizens of <br /> Rucker Hill signed by George Newland, requeeling continuance of,hie <br /> V until further input is received from the community. He requested <br /> the meeting begin at the slide site next week as he had looked it <br /> l over and found he had some different thoughts after actually looking <br /> at the physical site. He then asked that this item be removed from <br /> the agenda today to be brought back at a later date. <br /> President Gipson asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak and <br /> Dave Nascarenas of 517 Laurel Drive said a letter had been sent by <br /> the city to Laurel Drive residents regarding a meeting held Monday. <br /> All Rucker Hill residents are concerned and he hoped this would be <br /> continued long enough so that everyone could be notified and a joint <br /> 1: i'i' meeting held to find a satisfactory solution. <br /> 1,'":.' 1f: Councilman Overstreet suggested the ownership boundaries should be <br /> ;1 i1:,'111 checked such as the Railroad etc. and asked about the liabilities <br /> with the upper slopes and down slope.. <br /> 4n1,1 rem <br /> Iles, Assistant City Attorney, said there is an appeal pending <br /> on a revocation of Passage Parlor License and the Legal Department <br /> recommends this be held before:Hearing Examiner, rather than the <br /> .I OA council.
