Mr. Wright <br /> stated that seven forms have been sent out and three have been I <br /> completed to date. Ii <br /> Councilman Overstreet asked about the underlying mortgage on the <br /> shelter. David Koenig, Planning Staff,m stated the City .and <br /> Snohomish County jointly hold a 5120,000 ortgor <br /> on the shelter. ill <br /> The funding we a tablished approximately sew x eight years ago '1 <br /> and was in the form of a grant. The terms of the mortgege state <br /> that 1/15th o4 the principal balance Ls forgiven each year for 15 <br /> years and at such time the shelter will be unencumbered by the i 1 <br /> ortgage or in other words be free and clear", Stop Abuse is in 1 <br /> title to the property. The only way a forfeiture of the mortgage <br /> could be initiated would be if Stop Abuse does not or 1s not abiding <br /> by <br /> the terms and conditions o4 the mortgage. This grant'was N <br /> e hed In this manner to insure that a shelter would be 41 <br /> available in the City for at least fifteen years. <br /> Councilman Overstreet asked if there shouldn't be some type of <br /> termination clause in the contracts. Bruce Jones, City Attorney, <br /> stated that the contract will contain a termination clause, the <br /> standard insurance coverage clause and all other standard phrases as l'. <br /> necessary. <br /> r5p <br /> Iv Js <br />
