187 W <br /> April 24,1991 0 <br /> HOMELESS <br /> Jack Healy representing Partners For Tomorrow gave a video � <br /> presentation on the homeless. Specifically he requested the 1 <br /> City of E eret's participation in the housing improvement <br /> district; financially,as well as representation. Mayor Kinch <br /> suggested that the Planning staff update Council <br /> our <br /> situation before Council makes a commitment, but <br /> representative from the Planning Department is to be appointed <br /> by Paul Roberts. Q <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Pope introduced Terry Miller, President of the <br /> Everett Police Officers Association. He read a position <br /> statement regarding the addendum to the 1991-93 Labor Agreement <br /> between the City and Everett Fire Fighters Local No. 350. He <br /> stated that the Police Officers Association was in support of <br /> the union contract amendment and should be given this amendment <br /> because their call load has increased; because their manning <br /> has not kept up with growth; because they are working hard;and <br /> because they deserve a raise. <br /> ADDENDUM-1991-93 FIRE FIGHTERS LABOR AGREEMENT <br /> Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilman Diamond'to <br /> authorize an addendum to the 1991-93 Labor Agreement between <br /> the City of Everett and Everett Fire Fighters <br /> Councilman Pope asked where the$80,000 would came from. Jerry <br /> Vrcoman responded that the Budget CmnOttee okayed it to come <br /> from general.funds. Councilman Pope brought up the issue that <br /> ether unions may come forward with issues for reconsideration. <br /> Mayor Kinch explained that there was that passibility. <br /> Roll was Called with all councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS-CONTINUED <br /> Councilman Diamond said he would be attending a Paine Field <br /> annexation meeting this evening. <br /> 0 <br />
