201 <br /> May 1,1991 <br /> Councilman Pow enjoyed hosting six German businessmen <br /> participating in a Rotary exchange program around the City <br /> Yesterday. <br /> Councilman Overstreet announced he will be gone the next two <br /> weeks and asked that someone take his place at the Snohomish <br /> County Tomorrow meetings during his absence. President Morrow <br /> requested Councilman Gipson to do this. <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> President Morrow reminded Council that they would be leaving <br /> for the Colby Square announcement at 9.45 a.m. and that there <br /> would be an executive session on a real estate matter following <br /> the Council meeting today. <br /> Danica Meulner and Stephanie caisson, community college <br /> students, wore observing the Council meeting for a political <br /> science project. He <br /> thanked the Parks Department and Public Works Department for <br /> their greet foresight on such a project. <br /> ATTORNEY'S COMMENTS <br /> Bruce Jones, City attorney, informed couneilnmmbers that 0 • <br /> renegotiation of several Wall Street Building leases with <br /> private tenants would be necessary. He asked for Council's <br /> thoughts regarding authorizing the Mayor to renegotiate these <br /> leases. This would not include new tenants. He suggested this <br /> would be a more timely process. He pointed out that there may <br /> be revenue impacts and the amendments could go to the Budget <br /> Committee for their review. <br /> 0 <br /> 0 ; <br /> 9 <br />
