394 <br /> July 31,1991 <br /> Councilman Moser reported on the Puget Sound Council of <br /> Government meeting. The new organization is being formech King <br /> County has not yet signed. <br /> Councilman Overstreet announced that the County Council is <br /> holding a hearing regarding the low income housing bond issue <br /> this morning. After the County makes its decision to put it on <br /> the ballot he felt it appropriate that this Council make a <br /> recommendation. We have been supportive through Snohomish 0 <br /> County Tomorrow. <br /> Jerry Vlooman' Administration, indicated that Paul Roberts, <br /> Planning, would be representing the Mayor and speaking before <br /> the County Council in favor of this issue. <br /> Councilman Anderson relayed that along Hewitt in the area of <br /> Oakes and Lombard that there is a weed problem in the planters <br /> that needs attention. Also in the area of the Commerce Building • ' <br /> there is a collection of litter that needs to be taken care of. <br /> Councilman Gipson asked if the City could use prisoners to help <br /> clean up as the County does. <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> President Morrow reported that he and his wife had entertained <br /> visitors from our Japanese sister city this past week. <br /> President Morrow visited the Riverdale problem area recently <br /> which was discussed during the July 24 Council meeting. He <br /> requested Jerry doorman to have Council kept up to date on the <br /> progress of its Cleanup. Councilman Moser expressed that the <br /> drainage from Riverdale Park is a problem that needs to be <br />. addressed. <br /> 0 <br /> A retirement reception for Ida Rush will be held in the Council <br /> Chanters at 3:00. Everyone is invited to attend. <br /> RESOLUT/ON <br /> President Morrow explained that a resolution dealing with 3919 <br /> High Street was inadvertently missed last week and it needed to <br /> be brought before Council at this time. <br />
