97 <br /> March 18,1992 <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except President C� <br /> Gipson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> CHANGE ORDER-SOUTH END INTERCEPTOR E%TENSION,.NORTH SEGMENT <br /> Moved by Councilman Diamond, seconded by Councilman Moser to <br /> authorize the Mayor to sign Change Order No. 2 for the South <br /> End Interceptor Extension, North Segment, in the amount of <br /> $103,266.89. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except President <br /> Gipson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> REQUEST FOR DRIVEWAY APPROACH-6809 WASHINGTON AVENUE <br /> Larry Crawford, Public works, explained that the Everett <br /> Municipal code states that no permit for a driveway approach <br /> shall be grantedwherehere reasonable egress and ingress, for the <br /> o <br /> purpose for which the property is used can be secured from the f'\ <br /> alley. The City Public WorksDepartment Peels reasonable <br /> egress and ingress can be secured from the alley and recommends <br /> that City Council deny the crequest for drivewayssing <br /> ss <br /> Washington Avenue.' He also stated that from Galleys <br /> provides for maximizing on street parkingand uniform <br /> neighborhood front yards. <br /> Charles Runyon, 6809 Washington Avenue requested a variance <br /> from Chapter 0.16.050(4) of the Everett Municipal Cade. Mr. <br /> Runyon explained he has applied for a permit to build a <br /> new <br /> house at 6809 Washington Avenue with a driveway approach to <br /> Washington Avenue rather than the alley. His concern s that <br /> of safety and he would not have enough room for backing into <br /> the alley. He stated that the alley was very busy with <br /> traffic, as there are several businesses directly across the <br /> alley.. <br /> ncllmembers had out the impact Washington <br /> Avenue antl the conformity oP accesses in the area. <br /> Jon Dovey, general contractor, for Mr. Runyon related that <br /> there would be a blind spot if the egress was from. the alley. <br /> He also stated that like situations have beenallowed. \ <br /> A <br />
