He <br /> replied, wauffic 1ent airport capacity and service are <br /> essential <br /> for states that plan Sr be s fu <br /> ssl competitorsfofuture <br /> domestic and international business. If Washington State is to <br /> main viable and prosper economically from international <br /> commerce we need additiciul airport capacity such as <br /> preferred alternative for Sea pe and Paine Field. Boeing <br /> supports increasedalternative <br /> airport capacity and consider the <br /> been off alternative support be tM1e most dworkableitioned plan that has <br /> been es whic. This it is conditioned on mitigation <br /> which insure oure recognize <br /> to continue operations at our <br /> maximum inion potential. We r cognize there can be hopefully <br /> in <br /> opinion in expansion such this, hopefully these <br /> differences will be resolved CO the satisfaction of everyone." <br /> CCouncilman Campbell asked if Boeing would be able to expand ii <br /> the Paine Field expansion took place. Mr.Figg replied that he <br /> didn't see any conflict with this. <br /> President Gipson wanted to know .what would happen i4 the <br /> expansion didn't take place. Mr. Figg answered that St would <br /> be business as usual. <br /> Councilman Overstreet asked if Boeing had considered all the <br /> alternative sites or just the narrow list. He. Figg said that <br /> the short list that was published was whet Boeing had evaluated. <br /> Robert L. Perry, Able Plumbing, Inc., 5629 128th Place SE, a <br /> subcontractor who worked on the Everett Sewer/Utility Building, <br /> told councilmembers that the general Contractor on that project <br /> hasy ral liens against him and that the actors <br /> haven'tbeen paid. He felt the City should have ucicecked this <br /> contractor out beforewarding the bid. There w several <br /> other subcontractors.in the audience which also haven't been <br /> paid. <br /> C <br />
