March 1,2000 <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett has a desire to work with citizens around <br /> Everett in unincorporated Snohomish County to become part of the City of <br /> Everett,and <br /> WHEREAS,the area proposed for annexation is within the Urban Growth <br /> Boundary established by Snohomish County. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVER, <br /> I.The City of Everett wishes to accept the 10 percent petition for the proposed <br /> annexation and authorize the signature collation for the 75%petition. <br /> 2.The City of Everett will require the simultaneous implementation of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan designation by adoption of the zoning for the <br /> annexation area. <br /> 3.The City of Everett will require the assumption of this annexation's portion <br /> of existing City indebtedness. <br /> Dave Koenig,Planning,explained that the map has been revised to include two <br /> additional peopenies within the boundaries. That revised map has been <br /> distributed to all councihsembers. <br /> Roll was called with all couvcilmembers voting yes except Councihnember <br /> Anderson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Councilmember Overstreet suggested that it would be helphhl if the maps would <br /> include the urban growth boundaries. <br /> 92 <br />
