1 <br /> May 17,2000 <br /> Ccuncilmember Gipson stated that he and Deb Williams,Council Director, <br /> attended a"Safe Kids"presentation at the Everett Golf and Country Club.He <br /> requested that the pull tab ordinance be brought back to the City Council for <br /> review. Comeilmember Campbell anted that a workshop would be in order <br /> before any action is taken. <br /> Councilmember Warnock reported that he attended an internes taxation seminar <br /> sponsored by the Lynnwood City Council. <br /> Councihnember Simpson commended Computer Services for their excellent <br /> work on the City of Evereo's web site. <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> REPORT—RIVERPRONT PROPERTIES <br /> Clair Olivers,Public Works,gave a slide presentation depicting the history of <br /> Everen's landfill property and recent cleanup and redevelopment activities on <br /> the site. <br /> Kau Snyder,Floyd and Snyder,spoke regarding the ongoing negotiations with <br /> the Department of Ecology for cleanup and monitoring of the landfill property <br /> and the Brownfields Gram for redevelopment of the site. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Anton Keller,1709 Walnut.stated his disapproval of the off-leash dog area <br /> being consbuced at Henry M.Iacksen Park. <br /> Coucilmember Simpson questioned whether the neighborhoods have any <br /> recourse if they oppose the pilot program.Bob Cooper,Parks,stated that the <br /> Park Board reviewed and approved the sites and that the neighborhoods should <br /> take Heir concerns to the board. <br />
