lune 27,2001 <br /> RESOLUTION—SIX YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT <br /> PROGRAM <br /> Moved by Councilmember Pope,seconded by Couuoilmember Warrak to <br /> adopt Resolution No.5068 approving the 2002-2007 Transportation <br /> Improvement Program(TIP)m follows: <br /> WHEREAS,RCW 35.77.010 requires that the Legislative body of each Ely and <br /> Mum shall prepare and adopra"Comprehensive Transportation Program'for the <br /> ensuing ser caleodm years to save as a guide in carrying out a coordinated <br /> transportation facility construction program,and that said legislative body shall <br /> mutually thereafter review,amend as necessary,and readopt said Comprehensive <br /> Transportation Program;and <br /> WHEREAS,in compliance With RCW 35.77010 Mme exists such a <br /> Comprehensive Transportation Program(known as the Six-Year Transportation <br /> Improvement Program or TIP)for the City of Everett that identifies various types <br /> of transportation improvements needed,and emimated costs;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the work <br /> accomplished under said program,determined current and future City <br /> transportation needs,end basad on these findings bas prepared a Six-Year <br /> Transportationlmprovement Program for the next six years;and <br /> WHEREAS,Everett's Transportation Advisory Committee and Planning <br /> Commission have reviewed and recommended approval of this update',and <br /> WHEREAS,the adoption of the update to the City of Everett Transportation <br /> Improvement Program enables the City to apply for and receive various stale and <br /> federal funds to implement the projects in the program;and <br /> WHEREAS,alto due n0tice,s hearing on the Imposed program was held by the <br /> City Cu000il in acc0Na0ce with RCW 35.77.010;and <br /> WHEREAS,the proposed program is condiment with,and implements the City of <br /> Everett Comprehensive Plan <br /> 246 <br />
