February 14.2007 <br /> PUBLIC HEARING—COUNCIL BILL NO.0701-05 <br /> President Stonecipher opened a public hearing regarding Council Bill No. <br /> 0701-05 amending the zoning code regulations and local project <br /> procedures regulations for accessory buildings for residential use. <br /> Gerry Ervine,Planning,defined accessory buildings and gave an overview <br /> of the proposed ordinance.Council members asked various questions <br /> and voiced some concerns. Discussions ensued regarding:footprint of <br /> accessory buildings not to exceed 75%of gross floor area of the dwelling: <br /> public process;and appearance and placement of tent-like carloads. <br /> Council members voiced strong concerns regarding these carport type <br /> structures and questioned if they could be outlawed. <br /> Charlene Rawson,823 Charles Avenue,asked if laundry areas am <br /> allowed in a detached garage.The answer was yes. <br /> Moved by Council Member Nielsen,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.0701-05 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Zoning Code Regulations for <br /> Accessory Buildings;amending Section 4 of Ordinance No. <br /> 1871-89,as amended(CRC 19.04),Section 37 of Ordinance No. <br /> 2397-99(EMC 19.06)as amended,Section 10 of Ordinance No. <br /> 214696(EMG 19.07.020)as amended, Section 39.150 of <br /> Ordinance No.1671-89(EMC 19.39.150.0.2,EMC 19.39.150.C.5, <br /> EMC 19.39.150.0.12 and EMC 19.39.150.0.2)as amended, <br /> repealing Section 16 of Ordinance No. 2307-98 (EMC <br /> 19.15.120), and amending the Local Project Review <br /> 52 <br />
