September 19,2007 • <br /> Roll was <br /> u <br /> called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> MemberGipson who voted no and Council Member Olson who was <br /> excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The minutes of the September 12,2007 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Member Overstreet abstained from the <br /> vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson announced that on September 13.2007 Washington <br /> State's Economic Revitalization board(CURB)approved the City of <br /> Everett's request for an annual LIFT Funding award of$500,000 a year <br /> for 25 years. He stated that the City has identified its riverfront as a <br /> revenue development area and the$12.5 million will allow us to service <br /> approximately$7 million of bonds needed to help recover our costs for <br /> infrastructure including streets,bridges,public utilities,trails,parka and <br /> drainage. <br /> REAPPOINTMENT—EVERETT HOUSING AUTHORITY <br /> Moved by Council Member Nielsen,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to concur with the reappointment of David Dorsey to <br /> Position No.5,Everett Housing Authority,fora five-year term ending <br /> October 5,2012. <br /> Rall was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Olson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 311 <br />
