February 27,2008 <br /> Roll was council called with all nal members voting yes except Council <br /> MemberHalloo who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> ALLEY CLOSURE—THE IRISHMEN <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to approve the closure of the alley behind 2923 Colby <br /> Avenue from March 17,2008,9 a.m.,to March 18,2008,9 a.m.,for a <br /> St Patrick's Day event with live music and a beer garden sponsored <br /> by The Irishmen. The event will run from 2 p.m.to 10 p.m. <br /> Personnel must be on site and prepared to accommodate emergency <br /> vehicle access in the event of an emergency. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher wanted it clarified that we are following past <br /> practice/policy regarding requirements fora beer garden,specifically that <br /> the sponsor.The Irishmen,is paying for any extra police security that may <br /> be required. <br /> CM Iles responded that all departments have recommended approval,as <br /> well as the Real Estate Committee.Coondination with Rubatino has also <br /> taken place.Police recommendations will need to be followed. <br /> Greg Lineberry,Police,indicated that requests are evaluated on a case by <br /> case basis and that when police security is required 9 is paid for by the <br /> sponsor If it is a private function.City resources are not used to support <br /> private ventures.
