June 4,2008 <br /> President Nielsen asked if any citizen wished to speak. No one <br /> responded. <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts,seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was <br /> called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Hake who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.0805-25 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No.2842.05 to approve <br /> a three-year budget for the existing downtown Business <br /> Improvement Area(BIA)and extend the term of the BIA and <br /> existing special assessment levy for an additional year beyond <br /> its five-year term <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts,seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher that this is the third and final reading of Council Bill No.0805- <br /> 25 and the City Clerk is directed to call the roll for the final disposition of <br /> the ordinance. <br /> AYES: Roberts,Olson,Gipson,Nielsen,Affholter, <br /> Stonecipher <br /> NAYS: None <br /> EXCUSED: Hatloe <br /> Ordinance No.3075-08 adopted. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that he has heard very positive comments <br /> regarding the downtown area.He also thanked business owners. <br /> Council Member Affholter recognized Sue Strickland for her work. <br /> 171 <br />
